“Get your daily dose of Jazz”

This motto is lived out: From 15^th June to 10^th July, 2018, the JazzFest Vienna will be a fixed point on the festival calendar. Stars like Thomas Quasthoff and Caro Emerald as well as legend Kris Kristofferson or soul singer Cee-Lo Green, and classics like Louie Austen, Corinne Bailey Rae, Count Basic, the Mojo Blues Band, 5/8erl in Ehr’n or Norbert Schneider are gathering. The names of the artists speak for themselves – not only jazz is played. You can also look forward to soul, funk, pop, electronic or ethnic sounds across genres, and all these top acts at the most beautiful venues in the city. Sitting still is impossible!

On 15^thJune, 2018, the opening concert with the 81-year-old Kris Kristofferson will take place in Vienna’s Stadthalle. His hit “Me And Bobbie McGee“, for instance, was sold millions of times. The singer, songwriter and actor has already been awarded three Grammys and a Golden Globe.

On 30^th June, 2018 the Wien Energie-Open Air in Spittelau offers nonstop highlights: Count Basic, 5/8erl in Ehr’n and the Afro Cuban All Stars will get your legs dancing. Tickets are available from 2 Euro!

The State Opera too will tremble. On 1^stJuly, 2018, the MTV-Europe Music Award winner Caro Emerald will present her new album here, followed on 2^ndJuly, 2018 by the Austrian jazz great Norbert Schneider  together with a large formation and surprise guests.

Grammy winner Cee-Lo Green will be performing on 6^th July, 2018 at the Vienna State Opera, for the first time in Austria. The American moves around in the genres of hip-hop, funk, soul and R&B.

Of course, the classic jazz cellars and jazz venues of Vienna are also part of the programme – from “Jazzland”, “Porgy & Bess” to the “Reigen”. Top performers like Dena Derose, Mojo Blues Band or the Harri Stojka Trio should not be missed at these characteristic locations.

Last but not least: The Rathausplatz and the Summerstage present artists like Ina Regen, Roxy Star or Die Mayerin at top free concerts.
