The exhibition in the ZOOM Children’s Museum

With the “Caution! Construction Area” exhibition, the ZOOM Children’s Museum has succeeded yet again in creating a genuine highlight. I’ve long been a fan of ZOOM, starting with the Zoom Ocean—the area for small children (from 8 months to 6 years of age), via workshops for 3- to 8-year-olds, all the way to the biannual exhibition that’s always a must-see for me.

Now that the “big vacation” is over, it’s time to don your helmet, put on your work gloves and hit the construction site. Children can try their hands at being an architect, building with genuine bricks, test building edifices against earthquakes, build and cover a roof framework, or discover what people adopted from nature and animals’ edifices.

At this exhibition, it’s evident that many custodians of the ZOOM Children’s Museum are helping out and organizing. In any case, genuine construction materials are used. You can send your children to the exhibition alone, yet my recommendation to parents is to join in!

1) It’s really a lot of fun.
2) Some general guidance via the exhibition can’t hurt and helps to avoid chaos, especially with smaller children.

At the rear of the exhibition room, children can pave or lay bricks. This lasts for about 15-20 minutes. You need to plan some time to line up. Therefore it’s best if the children decide on something and spend the remaining time in other areas of the construction site, as an hour and a half flies by. You can always come again!

Definitely make a reservation

You should definitely make a reservation for the exhibition in the ZOOM Children’s Museum. The number of visitors is limited and dates are almost always booked solid.
